Kemenche String – is a sampler instrument and recorded performance, which aims – to provide you with a realistic strings, and tools for applying other stringed instruments through a deep and expressive sound that it generates.
As usual, we recorded long improvisation, phrase, natural and processed loops, but this time we focused on sampled instrument more than usual.
Kemenche or kemençe – the name used for any type of stringed bowed musical instrument originating from the Eastern Mediterranean, the Middle East, particularly in Turkey, Iran, Armenia, Greece and the regions adjacent to the Black Sea.
We present you with what is called a classical kemenche, which has a softer and more refined sound as compared to the relatively simple dance, a tough-sounding versions.
Very interesting for this instrument is that it is played, lightly touching the strings fingernail side (instead of to press it down or tune), which, combined with its small, resonant spacious housing and bend gives the instrument a unique breathtaking sonic character.
The library covers all typical and some unusual articulation, which can be used immediately when the keyboard is switched during the game, combining a rich tool. In addition to the articulation of the sustain, we also sampled vibrato written for a very authentic sound
