The OMRON Automation development team is pleased to announce the availability of Sysmac Studio 1.48. This solution provides an integrated development environment to set up, program, debug, and maintain NJ/NX-series CPU Units, NY-series Industrial PC, and other Machine Automation Controllers, as well as EtherCAT slaves.
Software Change – Version 1.48 – Date: January, 2022
The following Sysmac Studio software will be updated to Version 1.48. Changes in Version 1.48 are listed below and this update will be available via Auto Update for 32 and 64 Bit Version.

– Solved the problem that the Online Edit might not start in a project that was uploaded from the Robot Integrated CPU Unit.
– Solved the problem that establishing an online connection with the Robot Integrated CPU Unit that employs a remote connection device might take time.
– Solved the problem that a change in the Belt Encoder Latch settings in offline disabled an operation on Sysmac Studio.
– Solved the problem that downloading the Recipe Manager data to the NY-series IPC Machine Controller might not be available.
– Solved the problem that clicking the Calibration button on the Virtual Camera window might not open the Camera Calibration Wizard.
– Solved the problem that a font was not merged normally in the Version Control in Runtime version 1.11 or higher.
– Solved the problem that some of the image files registered as resource might be erased after uploading.
– Solved the problem that a magnification set after selecting a screen size in Font Replacement might not be an appropriate rate.
– Solved the problem that the mport variable and data type information from a physical device function did not work normally when a CJ unit was selected in the External Device.
– Solved the problem that deleting the data type of an external device might prevent removing an error.
– Solved the problem that the imported variable might be erased when users imported a variable through the mport variable information from a file function then re-open the project.
– Solved the problem that an incorrect alarm condition expression might prevent indicating a correct error location in the Build tab page.
– Solved the problem that a build of a large project might cause a build error.
– [Runtime] Solved the problem that an error might rarely occur in operation while connected with more than one controller.
– [Runtime] Solved the problem that a page using Media Player might not be displayed properly after shown from a pop-up window.
– [Runtime] Solved the problem that E_SYS_997 might occur at booting up while connected with more than one controller.
– [Runtime] Solved the problem that executing a part release event on Soft-NA or the simulator might cause an error.
Sysmac Studiois part of the Sysmac automation platform, which is an integrated development environment that provides complete machine control through one connection and one software. Sysmac Studio has various functions such as setup, programming, simulation, and monitoring of machine automation controllers including NJ-series controllers and EtherCAT slaves. The NJ-Series automation controllers integrate motion, sequencing, and network connectivity. Finally, EtherCAT provides a fast machine network to control motion, vision, sensors, and actuators. Sysmac Studio complies with the IEC 61131-3 standard and allows users to import Simulink control algorithms that have been converted to structured text programs by Simulink PLC Coder. Sysmac Studio also enables machine-less software verification by cosimulation with Simulink and monitoring of operation data on Simulink, while periodically sampling the data in an NJ-series machine automation controller. Additionally, Sysmac Studio allows users to use the OMRON EtherCAT slave* models that run on Simulink according to the parameter settings on Sysmac Studio.
*G5-series servo drives, GX-series analog I/O terminals, and NX-series analog I/O units
