Version 8.4 includes new capabilities that enable our global customer base to design higher performance turbomachinery in less time.
– Tight integration between our AxCent geometry generation software and our Pushbutton CFD and Pushbutton FEA solvers. This integration brings full 3D CFD and FEA analysis earlier in the design process. Processing time has also been dramatically reduced, with the solvers running as much as four times faster.
– Easier automated optimization to allow a broad exploration of previously untapped design space. This new functionality will help advance the state-of-the-art for performance and reliability for all classes of turbomachines.
– Seamless coupling with our industry-leading MAX-PAC Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM) software to allow immediate feedback of the manufacturability effect of any design changes.
– Greater range of components that can be designed to include support for turbine exhaust hoods and pipe diffusers. The models for all classes of turbomachines (axial and radial pumps, compressors, and turbines) have been enhanced with the latest state-of-the-art design work developed at Concepts NREC, as well as work published by others.
