LOS ANGELES, Calif., Dec. 03, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) – Chaos Group has released V-Ray Next for Revit, bringing the latest V-Ray technology stack to the popular BIM (Building Information Modeling) software platform. Architects can now tap the rendering power within their favorite design platform, utilizing dozens of new features and improvements.
The new version features a new Asset Editor where users can create, edit, save and manage V-Ray materials all in one single place. With the Appearance Manager Revit, assets can be switched to photoreal V-Ray assets at render time to keep BIM models unaffected and clean. And lighting analysis tools enable architects to evaluate real-world lux values from daylight and fixtures to determine the true illumination levels of a design.

The V-Ray Next for Revit is now up to 50 percent faster with improvements to GPU rendering offering another 200 percent, further extending through V-Ray’s new Adaptive Dome Light, which can show improvements up to 2x. The V-Ray Physical Camera can now set the camera exposure and white balance automatically. There are new lens effects and a real-time AI-based Denoiser.

Revit Decals enable users to render paintings, signs, screens and more. Direct render saves to a Revit project are possible from the V-Ray frame buffer. These and other improvements, including a redesigned toolbar with new icons, make the new V-Ray Next for Revit a much more compelling user experience.

V-Ray Next for Revit brings scene intelligence, asset management and simple workflows deep into the design process. Architects can now be more creative in their favorite tool, using dozens of new features and improvements to produce photorealistic imagery faster than ever before.
